Accessibility (online) - Joy Heron - English
While public sector organizations have long been required to provide accessible websites, mobile applications, and software interfaces, as of June 28, 2025, this legal obligation also extends to private companies across Europe. E-commerce platforms, transportation apps, banking services, communication tools, and even ticket vending machines must all now meet accessibility standards.
This comprehensive training covers everything you need to know about these legal requirements. Through HTML and ARIA examples, you’ll see practical implementation strategies, while hands-on exercises reinforce key concepts. You’ll master compliance with the 50 WCAG Level AA requirements that are legally mandated, plus upcoming standards that will soon become legally required. The training also covers additional requirements from the BFSG and European standard EN 301 549 that software must meet to be truly accessible. Beyond compliance, you’ll understand how accessibility connects with usability, UX, and UI design. There will also be time for questions and answers to address the concrete accessibility problems that you have come across in your business.
