From September 27-28, the Software Architecture Alliance (SAA) conference will once again take place in Munich, and we will be there again. The program includes several high-caliber presentations by our trainers.
Workshop: Dynamic Development Organization in the Age of Cloud
“Let’s move to the cloud and enrich team topologies with unFIX to make our organization more agile and fit for the future!” What at first sounds like a collection of buzzwords raises a number of interesting questions at second glance. In this workshop, we take you on a journey where we bring together the ideas behind modern development organizations.
Speakers: Kim Nena Duggen, Alexander Kaserbacher
Slot: September 27, 10:10 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
Why business models help with architectural work
In our daily work as architects, we take numerous influencing factors into account, such as technical requirements, framework conditions, and quality criteria. The presentation first provides motivation for the topic as well as tips and methods for determining and understanding the business model.
Speaker: Michael Plöd
Slot: September 27, 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Continuous and automated documentation – Docs-as-Code in practice
Documentation is often neglected. With the Docs-as-Code approach, relevant documentation in software projects is treated like source code, stored in VCS, edited with developer tools, and integrated into software development processes.
Speaker: Falk Sippach
Slot: September 27, 4:25–5:25 p.m.

Legacy software: Only seemingly a problem!
Legacy software – even experienced technicians shudder at the thought. But legacy actually means “inheritance” and only has negative connotations in IT. The presentation shows how this insight can be used to develop strategies for dealing with legacy software more productively and successfully.
Speaker: Eberhard Wolff
Slot: September 28, 10:10-10:55 a.m.
Workshop: A lean review for your software system
Architecture reviews make it possible to identify weaknesses and potential in software solutions, validate decisions, and evaluate improvement measures. In this workshop, you will learn a lightweight approach.
Speaker: Stefan Zörner and Stefan Toth
Slot: September 28, 1:45-2:45 p.m.
