Getting started with Wardley Maps

2024-10-07 - 2024-10-07

1-Day-Workshop

Hands-on-Einstieg in Wardley Maps - Markus Harrer - Deutsch

Description

In this interactive workshop, we will explore the topic of Wardley Maps and how you can use maps pragmatically to develop software systems and IT landscapes. Wardley Maps are evolving strategy maps that create context-specific situational awareness of software systems (and more). They provide a place to communicate complex issues: How do business and systems relate? Where do we build something ourselves, what do we reuse from others, and what do we outsource completely? What development practices and processes do we use to do this? We create Wardley Maps for these kinds of questions to better understand our situation. And more! With a map, we can also plan where to go. For this, Wardley Mapping offers us a rich fund of signposts for navigating and tips for dealing with legacy issues.
