New training courses – Bring on 2023!

Our goal for 2023 is to offer you new, exciting training courses and formats that not only broaden your horizons but also include a great deal of practical exercises. We also consider topics that prepare you for future developments to be important. Which brings us directly to the first candidate:

Accessibility in practice

We are convinced that accessibility enables software developers and architects to create sustainable offerings that are future-proof and economically viable. Our trainer Dr. Andreas Maier (INNOQ) has been promoting this topic for many years and now offers practical training that is aimed not only at developers, but also at interaction, visual, and screen designers, information architects, and managers.

In this training course, you will learn about the connection between accessibility and user experience, what accessibility encompasses, and how to create it through mostly simple adjustments during programming. You will learn about the legal obligations that exist and how to implement them. You will be able to describe and promote the topic of accessibility within your company and motivate others to engage with it more closely.

Documentation-as-Code

Architecture documentation is often neglected. There are many reasons for this, including the use of impractical tools and formats. The docs-as-code approach treats documentation like source code. Documents are created in lightweight text and graphic formats, stored close to the source code in Git repositories, for example, and versioned and processed in automated build processes.

This topic is very close to the heart of our trainer Falk Sippach (embarc): The new workshop, which he developed together with his co-trainer Ralf Müller, uses lean tools and markup languages to demonstrate how to create documentation that is as redundancy-free as possible, optimized for different target groups, and can be delivered continuously in appealing formats. The workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to document software solutions to a high standard and has a technical background.

OWASP Top 10

With the iSAQB® WEBSEC training, we have been helping developers and architects create secure web applications for a long time. Now, our security trainer Christoph Iserlohn (INNOQ) has created another format that focuses on vulnerabilities in web applications and allows you to slip into the role of the attacker. This gives you an even better understanding of how attacks work and how to detect vulnerabilities in your own application.

The OWASP Top Ten list, a list of the biggest security risks for web applications, is used to support this. The Open Web Application Security Project, or OWASP, is an international non-profit organization dedicated to web application security.
